Narcotic Report

The Narcotic Report lists all reportable narcotic drugs that were dispensed during the report period. Examine the report to see patient or prescriber trends that should be investigated and/or documented.

The report can be generated for a specific drug; it will list all narcotic prescriptions that were filled for the drug during the report period. It can also be generated for all patients in a group by entering the name of the group in the Group field in the report criteria.

Methadone Prescriptions

To indicate the most accurate Methadone doses, the Narcotic Report uses the Total Dose (MG) field in the Rx Detail Methadone window to determine the amount of Methadone that was dispensed in a prescription. This is useful when the Methadone dosage is a decimal amount.

If the Total Dose (MG) field is blank in Rx Detail, the report will use the value in the in Rx Detail Qty field.

Report Criteria

• Start Date field: This is the first date to be included in the report
• End Date field: The last date to be included in this report.
• Drug field: Provides the option to print this report for a specific DIN.
• Group field: Provides the option to print this report for a specific group

Sort Criteria

The report can be sorted by one of the following options:

• Rx Date
• Doctor Name
• Generic Name
• Trade Name
